If I'm going with 10,000K white, and royal blue LEDs, is it worth getting true violet LEDs (418-420nm)? Any other color options? Are reds good ones to get? I don't want the RBs to wash out whatever other LEDs I go with.

I'm going to get the Aquastyle 14 LED dimmable kit, but I can get up to 24 LEDs (each driver powers 12).

I'm just going to be growing softies.

For what size tank? But if just softies I'd stick with a 60/40 ratio of blues to whites! Not sure I'd mess around with uv's unless you're doing SPS! Haven't read much input about red's! Not sure I'd switch out many of the whites and blues for them! Maybe a led pro will chip in!

I'd just get 24 and get dimmable drivers! 14 blues and 10 whites or so on 2 seperate dimmable drivers! Way too much light for your tank, but you can keep them dimmed, control the light ratio and if you upgrade your tank, you'll have a light than can move up!

OK, please let me know. :) I'm in no hurry to get mine, so whenever you get them set up.

why don't you get a plug and play system and buy a few extra color led's? that way you can switch them out and see what you like!
