    oo a fellow canadian, your the only other one i've seen so far on this board. yea shoot me a pm if you don't mind. I'd like to see what else is out there, J&L is the only good canadian site I know of.

    I use reefgeek.com and have bought 32 bulbs without any breakage. My setup is a 47" x 8 retrofit and 23" x 8 retrofit to handle my 6' long 210gal reef and get a bluer look. This is the setup front to rear:
    ATI blue+ 450nm
    Geissmann midday 6K
    UVL 75/25 14K
    ATI blue+
    UVL aquasun 10K pink
    ATI blue+
    ATI aquablue 12K
    ATI blue+

    Actinics are basically a blue bulb that makes some colors come out more. There's 2 different kinds; Actinic 03 and Actinic. Actinic 03 goes down farther on the color spectrum, emitting some UV, which makes certain pigments fluoresce.

    actinic = 420nm wavelength "violet/purple"= ex:UVL SUPER ACTINICS BULB

    blue bulbs = 450-460nm wavelength "blue" ex: UVL 454 BULB or ATI BLUE+

    these bulbs simulate deep water lighting conditions. blue wavelength travels deeper in the ocean than other color spectrums.
