    Hey everyone,

I recently broke down my tank and sold it all off before I move to Atlanta...it would just be too much hassle and too much money to move the tank and everything, so I decided to just sell everything, and start over.

I was thinking about just doing a nano tank, about 10-20 gallons or so. Pretty easy, right? any suggestions? which brands are the best? could I get an anemone for some clowns in a nano?

    Thanks,
    Mike

Nanos are relatively easy, but it is just easier to mess up and less forgiving due to the water volume. Couple of nanos that I have seen are pretty high quality.
If you wnat something around the 20G mark, Finnex 20G M-tank is a good acrylic nano, or you can go with the JBJ Nanocube 24G DX but make sure you get the 2006 model as the older model had problems with the curved glass.
I think you would be fine with an anemone with low light demands, if you need more light nanotuners.com makes upgrade kits for the JBJ Nanocube 24DX that look pretty sweet.

It seems like you already have plenty experience on a larger tank, you just need to keep in mind to not get anything that would get too big in the Nano. or you can always go for the 32G M-Tank :)

    hope this helps!

I was looking at the 12 gallon tanks...would u suggest the aquapod or the JBJs? I like the aquapod because u can get a protein skimmer for it, but the jbjs get pretty good reviews too! I just dont know.

They are both pretty much a version of eachother, in other words, virtually the same. If your talking about the Fission skimmer, that can fit in both.

I think at this point its a matter of personal preference, which you would rather have, up to you. Have fun! :)

I noticed that nanocustoms.com has modded hoods with better lights (which I think I would need either way). However, they only seem to sell them for the JBJs, nothing for the Aquapods. Is there a website that sells modded hoods for the aquapods?

    Thanks,
    Mike

Nanocustoms.com is working on mods for the aquapod. One benefit to the aquapod is that the lighting are on different ballasts. The moon lighting and the main lighting can be on different timers where as the JBJ can't.

I have a 12g eclipse. It also needs a lighting upgrade but I really like the bowfront shape as opposed to a cube.
