Best source for chemical/pest free base rock? Reefcleaners? MarcoRocks? ????I'm sure this topic has been beat to death but since I'm new and need a lot of rock (just set up a 210gal) what is the best place to buy pest free and chemical free (no phosphates/silica/etc)?I have heard very good things about ReefCleaners and MarcoRocks; how would you rate their stuff?I have heard pukani gets you a lot of rock for the money but that they leach phosphates unless you treat them for weeks which I don't want to do...Suggestions? Thoughts?Sent by Samsung Galaxy Note 2 and Tapatalk 2

    Marco, Reefcleaners, or BRS.
for the record, i did no prep to my BRS pukani other than rinsing it off and ive never had phosphate issues.
ive seen a few threads about this lately and i have no idea where this information is coming from.

PS ive seen all these dealers rocks and the pukani is the most porous hands down.

I agree with DBO the pukani is the most porous, you can get away with using less of it and still have excellent biological filtration, I have only 55lbs in a 75gallon and its awesome

and the different things you can do with it, cut it, chisel it, the limit to your aquascape is only your imagination and you usually get a nice combination of large, medium and small rocks

I have pukani and love it. Awesome to work with and 40 lbs in my 46gal with no skimmer 5 fish and 0 nitrates is amazing. Phosphate is .04 after almost a year and just started gfo in a hob filter a month or so ago

+1, very pleased with their rocks and service! I understand they are busy at the moment, but my last two orders were shipped out 1-2 days after I ordered! Plus, you can add 40lbs of their sand for $15 shipped. Appears to be the same rock as Marco Rocks.

I'm a big fan of Marco Rock. The will even make custom shapes, add flat bottoms and corners to the rocks for those that don't like the standard rock wall.
