I am pretty sure that it is either the bluestripe or janss but I thought I would ask. Also, would it be possible to keep these a 40g mixed reef? The stocking would be 2x Percula Clownfish, 1x Mccosker's Flasher wrasse, 1x Yasha goby, 1x Purple Firefish, and 1x Royal Gramma. The stocking is relatively peaceful so I don't think that would be an issue. Also, if it didn't work out I could keep them in my refugium which is 12x12x10high. Does this sound like it may work?

In what way do you mean 'best'? Do you mean as far as looks or care level?

I would not suggest a pipe fish with the stock you have now - a friend of mine tried it and did not work. Pipe fish are like seahorses they are slow and need to be spot fed - the clowns, Gamma and wrasse would never let the pipe fish eat. Best to house with slow moving and tank specific spices. Also from what I noticed with my friend the pipe fish does not like the flow needed for most LPS. Also if you have LPS or anemone the pipe fish would make a snack or get stung.
IMO only - but have seen it not turn out well - they are awesome fish but don't mix well with clowns and fast moving fish

I'd do Dragonface Pipefish. They a re bigger and stronger swimmers, and those are t'

Grammas are jerks, definenatly not a completely peaceful stocking list.

I said relatively peaceful, not completely...if I needed too then I could take a gramma out of the stocking and second, bluestripes and janss are naturally found in coral reefs and are fine in higher flow, dragonface pipefish are not stronger swimmers, they just stay on the sandbed, while bluestripes and janss swim in the water column. In nature dragonface pipefish aren't even found in coral reefs but over areas of open sand and rock rubble.

wouldn't recommend a pipefish for a tank with other fish, especially a wrasse. Unless you can just through food in the tank until it gets enough with out worrying about water quality.

IMO the wrasse might compete for some of the food. But ponies and pipes should be kept in a species only tank.
