Good afternoon last week we finally had our Reef Savvy rimless tank delivered after months of anticipation and with the latest version of the ghost overflow ' thanks Felix ' and are purchasing our equipment for the build. Currently im looking at power heads and have looked into the ecotech vortech MP40WES and 60 which seem to be the industry leader we are leaning towards the technology being that it has the wireless feature which we love being a techy.

Anyone having any feed back on the unit (s) or must have added features would be great especially if more than one may be needed for my 100g build.

As always thanks again to all in advance!

The Gyre sounds promising, but early production units are having issues. I replaced a WP40 with an MP40 on my 300, and the difference is noticeable. The MP has a much wider flow path with a huge undertow, and very easy to set up and get the flow I wanted. With the WP, I always had a hard time aiming it just right.

I currently have a Gyre and an MP40 in my 130 and the Gyre is a rickety toy with some over complicated ways to make it do mildly interesting stuff.

Get the Vortech. Or for your tank, several.

TBH, one MP40 could be sufficient for a 100 until it grows in a bit.

Thanks for the feedback its seems the mp40 is the way to go for me and one unit as you mentioned should suffice they can be pricy so go to know.

    Thanks

Will this be a mixed reef or SPS tank?
Can't go wrong with the ecotech stuff.

If you have the money, then ecotech I'm sure is a good product. I have a wp-25 and it's a great little pump. I know jabeo has come up with rw series that provides for wider flow - just throwing that out there - the wp and rw pumps are much less expensive.
