    Might want to check your mag level also.If it is low you might have a hard time increasing and keeping calcium stable.

    Also, look at Brightwell's Kalk +2. It contains Magnesium to help keep parameters inline. I also like Brightwell's Calcion and Magnesion for raising Calc and Mag.

    what would happen if I dosed kalkwasser right after mixing it

    Dosing a supersaturated solution of Calcium Hydroxide is not recommended because it may:

    1) Raise pH too fast.

    2) Particles can damage coral tissue.

    3) Impurities in Calcium Hydroxide may enter system as particles.

    Having said that... some advanced reefers DO dose a milky Kalkwasser solution but they are experienced enough to monitor and control the possible risks.
