I was originally looking at an swc cone 160 until I read the thread about the sketchy business practices of swc. So now I am back on the hunt for a new skimmer. I really like the diablo, but it is a hair too big for my fuge. I really want a quality piece, and I'm wanting a bit of overkill, capacity wise. Looking to spend 300ish on a new skimmer.

Here is what I'm working with:
    75 gallon dt
    29 gallon long fuge
Skimmer has 8x10 in max size to fit in

If I left anything important out please let me know! Thanks!

I really like my Eshopps. Others seem to as well. I have also heard great things about reef octopus and bubble magnus. I want eccotech to make one!

on my 75g I run a in sump PSK combined with an ATS. Really stay away from no-name ebay junk and stick to major brands I think it comes down to personal choice more than anything.

What made you pick the eshopps s-150 over the reef octopus or others? I'm in a similar situation, but with a smaller tank -- 45 gal.

Low budget I'd go with the sc-150 or sc-65 for a smaller tank
    High budget Super reef Octo

Not trying to jack your thread. And I'm glad you have a skimmer on the way. But, did you consider the Warner marine skimmers?? Just curious I'm looking for a skimmer as well, and have been really leaning toward the Warner.

    Sea clone? Ugh.
I did like my Red Sea Prism, I used it for 6 years.
Last year, I replaced the Red Sea with a Coralife "superskimmer" but I'm not content. The Coralife is noisier and has microbubble issues. So, I'm looking for a HOB replacement.
