I just got a new coralife turbo twist 6x uv sterilizer. It needs a 200-400 Gph flow rate. I'm going to be using 3/4 ID hose with it and want suggestions on the pump to get for it.
The maxi jet 400 says it has 110 Gph as a powerhead and 500 Gph for circulation. Would it work?

Would a bigger maxi jet be better? Or is there a better option.
This is the only thing I will use it for and would like to optimize my uv sterilizer while also having an energy efficient pump.

I would go with a MJ 900 probably, I don't think the 400 will have enough flow for what you want to use it for

I've been looking into it and it looks like the 1200 would flow 295 Gph as a water pump.

thats the one I would go with then, you could get a stronger pump but I would think with the lower flow the more exposure the water will have to the UV, where as the larger flow the water will be traveling pretty fast through it.
