    Hello everyone!

So today i wanted to know your guys opinions on salt mixes for reef aquaria and what you think are the best. I use Aquariums Systems/Newa's Reef Crystals which is pretty similar to IO's Reef Crystals (Rather, its the european version of it). The salt seems to work well with calcium, magnesium, strontium, potassium and other trace elements since i've seen good growth in coralline algaes (I mean like extreme growths of them). Although i tested my pH and saw that the readings were all the way down at 7.8 to about 7.9 (Which isnt enough i want a pH atleast above 8.1). So i dont know if alkalinity might be the problem, but i'm gotta get some test kits for calcium, magnesium and alkalinity for sure (Didnt buy them since i keep a nano reef and expect the levels to stay excellent since i do weekly water changes). Whats your opinion?
