I've used Oceanic ....high calicum...for many years used and notice purple algae growth all over....which is a good thing. At one time I switched to IO (Instant ocean), listening to others, its cheap! I found myself using 2-part ESV dosing. After a few months switched back to Oceanic!

I have tried Reefer's Best Coral Reef Salt, probably one of the best salt out there!! The benefits, less water changes all of my parimeters were always in check. Expensive, but with less water changes it where it balances out. However, because the box weight so much, shipping was too much. Also tried coralife, I think that is the one with the free t-shirt...LOL

Currently, I'm using Reef Crystals for the past 4 months, and notice fast growths. Honestly, its hard to say which is better, salt is salt. Everyone has there preferences!! What works for someone, not entirely will work for you! Some here in the hobby, do water changes every two weeks, once a months, and some water changes after a few months. I personally, water change 10 percent every week.

    Important advice, check your water!!

Loyalty to salt brands is always a contentious issue. But since we are on the topic, I have always been happy with Tropic Marin's products and they have produced some great results for me and other hobbyists I know who use them.
