I don't know how many shrimp you want, but here would be my recommendation:

    - One Purple Banded Coral Shrimp. They don't get that big so are far more able to participate in a shrimp community tank than their larger cousins.

    - A number of sexy anenome shrimp. I love these guys and they are cheap. Small... but cheap.

    - At least one cleaner shrimp.

well he tried to charge my six-line earlier and when i handed him some food he grabbed my finger skin and wouldn't let go, lol. sort of aggressive for my tanks personality. will probably tank him out and trade for some cleaner shrimps. they seem more relaxed and laid back as well as more vigorous cleaners

wont the coral shrimp tear the limbs off my cleaner shrimp? i think it'd prefer having two cleaner shrimp than one CBS since this guy especially has been showing aggression

It was the opposite for me, but I guess it depends on who's in the tank first.

If you want multiples, cleaners are the way to go. The CBS are loners and will most likely fight to the death unless you get a mated pair. The CBS is reportedly more aggressive toward other shrimp species, as well.

I would definitely go with cleaner shrimp. The ones I have kept were awesome.

I have a purple coral banded shrimp. I'm in NJ, if someone wants to buy it or trade me. He ate my purple firefish tail first while he was still alive, and I need a replacement now.

Oh and FYIW, he (the PCBS) doesn't mess with my sexy shrimp. This is a 22G nano, which in reality only holds 15 gallons.

Just one caution on the skunk cleaner is that it will persistently steal food from any anemone or coral that you need to target feed. not hard to imagine that if these characters are willing to climb on your hand for food, they are not afraid to go many places when food is involved.

We had a skunk cleaner that ate all our stomatellas and started on the ceriths. He must've gotten a bad cerith (we saw him rip it out of the shell & eat it), cuz 2 days after eating that one he died. Karma LOL. The one we have left doesn't do any of that, thankfully.
