Best skimmer for 120gal

I am getting a great deal between Vertex IN 180 and ATI BubbleMaster 200
which one would you guys prefer?

 

I would go with the Vertex IN 180. I have a friend that has one, he has been reefing for 30 years, and says its the best skimmer he has ever had.

 

I was going with the vertex alpha 200 on mine but then went with the skimz 251 monster skimmer. The thing is awesome an fills a cup 4-5 days 10" skimmer cup!

 

I had made up my mind on the vertex 180 but i someone offered me a good deal on a SWC mini-s cone skimmer.
I have to pick from one over the weekend so i think these are the final two options..

Then yeah, definitely go for a branded one if you can for that price! the problem is not all of us an get them for that price ;D

 

haha i am getting a used rather then new. but yeah i am getting a good price.. i think. Now just need help deciding which one.

 

i would go the mini s if it were me. it looks of better quality, and takes up less space it looks like. But i never had any experience with them, this sc skimmer is going to be my first.

 

Not to throw a wrench into things but if you are having any fluctuations at all in your sump I highly recommend the Avast Marine with recirc mod..I absolutely love mine
