I'm getting a 29g Biocube, and want to get a real skimmer. What's the best one that will fit in it?

Any other upgrades you can recommend?

    Is Biocube the best nano?

    Thanks.

I have the AquaticLife 115 Mini Skimmer in mine, it works good and fits in the fist chamber with some modifications, the only problem is any skimmer for a BC is so small it never does too much. I am upgrading to a 90 gallon, cant wait, definitely done with the BC. Its very difficult to keep the waste stable in such a small tank and I absolutely hate the glass on the BC its like looking through coke bottles, always distorted.

I've heard good things about the Tunzes, not sure on the right size though....

I was at an aquarium shop yesterday, and saw a Biocube set up with a CPR Bak-Pak skimmer. It fit right inside the back of the tank. Quite expensive. Anyone have any experience with that skimmer? The guy in the store said they worked much better than the one in the Biocube (which wouldn't be difficult).

Also, I see on the CPR website that they make a nano. It's called LT4 Life Tank. 25 gallons. Hmmmm. Anybody got one? Any good? Better than Biocube?

+1 not sure if it would work, but they are one of the few good nano skimmers out there. Much better than most.

The regular CPR bak-pak skimmers are OK, I would be skeptical about a smaller version. The Reef-Octopus HOB is quite a bit better for the same price. If someone fit a CPR, you should be able to fit an RO HOB.

I'm not familiar with biocubes though, so not sure what will fit...

It is a dry heat, yeah right !
Tunze 9002 all the way, just make sure it will fit, I do not know if you have to modify the back compartments for the Tunze. Also if you go with Tunze get the InTank fill container.

Thanks. I'm going over to the store today to check out the 9002, and see how one could fit in the cube. Based on the dimensions, I think it should work.

I have no idea if this would fit, as I don't have a BioCube, but my Bubble Magus QQ skimmer is great for nano aquariums. I have it on a 29 w/ 10 gal sump and it works great...pretty quiet too.
