I researched this quite a bit for my office cube, and I thought the Aquamaxx HOB looked to be the best HOB out there. I've had my share of HOB skimmers through the years, and flooding was always a problem with every single brand I tried. Aquamaxx seems to be the only one that addresses this with the way their overflow dumps right back into the skimmer itself. It sucks to get a bunch of that gunk back recirculating in your system, but I'll guarantee you it's better than coming home to 5 gallons of water on the floor. Trust me...

I would definately recommend the tunze 9002. I use it in my 28g reef and it works amazing. It would still work great your tank as well!

I hated my Super Skimmer! I replaced it with an Eshopps PSK-100H and am a million times happier with it! I have this on my 46 bow, so I would definitely take a look at it.

+1 on the Eshopps 100 mine worked great until I dropped it and broke it. I have a Super Skimmer and its HOB or in sump. Funny that it never pulled any skimmate out until after I pulled all my fish out. Wierd. Bad thing on both skimmers is the micro bubbles.
