Hi Im hoping to keep some soft, lps, and some mushrooms in my tank but I dont know what to get for bulbs. this would be for a 48" 4x 54w t5 fixture.
right now Im running 2x 12k bulbs and 1x actinic bulb. the tank itself is 23" deep and I dont care what color it is aslong as its not yellowish, pink, of extremely blue (I like normal blues though)

Where in the world is Dr. Frag when you need him? (no slight to any others).

I like a mix of 6000k, a white/blue lamp like the Aquablue, and a straight blue lamp such as the Blue+ or Actinic+. I personally do not care for actinics.

Problem with recommending lamps is what I think is blue is not blue enough for you or way too blue. I prefer to recommend lamps but will not say get Xyz lamps and you will love the color...

Steve(Grim Reefer) is more comfortable with recommending colors but I've kinda teased him about that.. People always say 'I want a blue tank with lots of PAR' but Grims suggestions are always different.. :)
