So i need an underwater light to grow cheato in my back chamber of my biocube! I see that the ones intankLLC.com carries are out of stock until further notice! Anyone have any suggestions on how to light the middle, back chamber of my cube to grow some cheato? can i shine a light down from the top? Will this be enough light to reach the cheato?;D

Dont hold me to this because I have not had personal experience with it in a biocube. However, I think you can light it from the top with no problem and it should thrive nicely. Although it does not need to tumble, it would be a good idea to take it out from time to time and rinse it in tank water during a water change to get rid of detritus and other nasties. Its all up to you how you want to light it. Lighting from the top will work IMO.

I think he wants an underwater light because his hood covers the top of the chamber therefore no room for a light... but heres a bump for ya

i actually dont have the stock hood/lid on the biocube. i have viper k-2s lighting my tanks! so i could light it from the top or the bottom? Just wondering if anyone has had luck growing cheato in the middle chamber with a light shining down from the top instead of an underwater light? Is there anywhere else you can purchase underwater lights besides intank?
