I put this in my fowlr and it's a terrible terrible monster of a fish chases my foxface and makes an absolute mess and picks up the larger pieces of aragonite and throws them. Cool looking fish but he has to go I've tried to net him with zero luck

I want to avoid tearing down the tank if possible

I think he's too big for the inverted soda bottle

Im not familiar with this species

but does it sleep in the sand bed?

if so, I caught a canary wrasse some time ago
by watching where it buried itself at night, and then going in with a very large net
and working behind the wrasse went to ground, dragged the net, to the front glass
capturing about half a pound of sand, and a canary wrasse

it will, but you need to watch the tank for a while so that you know exactly where it entered the sand bed

if its close to or under rockwork, then the idea is a non starter
but if your lucky and you find its entering the sand in an open area at the front of your tank - you will get it

one swift movement/ behind with the net and capture everything between that and the front glass and make sure the wrasse has been down 30 mins or so otherwise it might bolt out as soon as the lid opens

Caught him after tearing apart the tank.

Anyone considering this fish do your research and believe it this is a strong fish that tosses sand everywhere!
