I have been looking at the CPRCY194. Seems to be a decent design.

Anyone use one or anyone have a wet/dry they are really happy with? I plan to turn it into a Ref. as well with a clip on light or somthing.

if your goin to do a reef dont use a wetdry filter or a trickle filter, there not for reef tanks. wet/dry, bio balls, trickle filter= nitrates, and that noo good for reef tanks

I was going to remove all that stuff and put live rock rubble in it.

IMOI, i think all those store sold sump boxes are way way over priced, you can make DIY sump box/fuge/sumps that are way bigger and better then the small ones they charge hundreds of dollars for in the stor or online.

funny you should ask, i almost bought a fluval and when i was at the lfs i was told not to do it(yesterday). the guy there told me that even with the rock rubble you'll get debris and random junk stuck amongst the rock rubble, and it'll be sitting there through every filtration so its counter intuitive to what you want, because you'll get random spikes over time on your tests.

I have the marineland model 4 sump and took the bio balls out of it. The trays are great for adding filteration. I personally would make one if I had not got this one. I had a pro clear and thought it was junk and they had horrible customer service when it was shipped broken then told it would be replaced and then they tried to do a half butted repair that did not work. I had the oppertunity to get the model 4 marineland at the same time and never looked back.

The return area is pretty small on the 192 for a small fuge. Not sure about the 194. Something can definitely be added though. I have mine simply sitting inside a 20long. Water flows through the wet/dry and out the bulkhead for the pump.
