Best white led combo for diy?

    say for a 24 led setup. 6 RB, 6B,

    what combo of whites for best coloration? combo of CW,NW,WW

    12 white leds, so what combo of those 3 whites would you use?

    I would do 12 royal blue, 9 cool white, 3 neutral white. I wouldn't use any blue

    A lot of people don't like the "windex" appearance of blue, but I do like the spectrum. I think 1/2 the RBs is good though. For White, CW is fine, but lower K whites will bring out the reds more. Just realize this is visual for your viewing pleasure and the reds will not likely help with coral growth. In fact red may even be detrimental to growth.

    I'd do like an AI nano
    1 XPE WW
    3-4 XPG B/RB
    That should give a good 15k look.

    Tricolor LED pucks for the AquaIllumination bring the standard and royal blues

    Gotta make sure you choose your placement carefully if you got with the WW, B and RB look. I agree this will look the best, as the WW really do make the tank look less "sterile."
    If you make one that was a mock of the AI sol Tri colors, and one that was the standard CW/RB I would venture to say most people would lean towards the AI scheme just on aesthetics.
