    Hello , nice looking site have had a lurk and like what is on offer. Have been into marines since 1972 , but am not going to talk about the good old days . nano's since 95 , 4 gals and under, bare bones system low tec , keep it simple. My present system is 32 lts coral sand/heater/micro powerhead/light. Livestock zoo's/mushrooms/4hermit's/ 3bumblebee shrimps/1dwarf coral shrimp/1female blue striped pipefish/1 tail spot blenni.Water changes on Sunday's 50%, the location of tank in my cooking area so it in my view most of the day , lights on 7am - 7pm. Still hooked after all this time and never been without a tank = reason for being broke. Will send pic when camera is avaiable.

    Have you ever dumped the powerhead for a airstone trouble for me is the noise .

    No I can not say I have gone that minimal, but I do run a sps 28gal without a skimmer, reactor, ATO, heater.......

    All great things to have but this is the system I have now and it works ok.

    For along time I bought every gadget that came out, oh what I could do with that money now.

    welcome to 3 reef Blue Dice

    I ran air driven skimmers for a long time- worked pretty well, but as you say, very noisy
    when compared to a water pump driven unit
