Some damsels are more aggressive than others. The YTs tend to be a "nicer" one as well as the Springer's Damsel. I have a Springer's Damsel in my 37 and he is the nicest fish in there (clown goby excluded)!

I liked the coloring of the Blue Velvet Damsel. The thing is only like a half an inch at the LFS how bad could it be :cheesy:

I had added a red scooter blenny/dragonet into my tank few weeks back...This is the time i actually noted how this half an inch bugger could be the villian...but guess its just the treatment to the newbies...he and the scooter gets on well now...

i had a talbot damsel rip the tail end off of a fish.... i had a blue damsel that attacked my clown fish (nipped at its tail)... two yellow tail damsels that would fight one another and i now have a yellow tail damsel by itself with a clown fish, wrasse, and yellow tang in a 75gal and its peaceful. i have seen it flare up when the wrasse came by, but the wrasse put it in its place.

99% of the time the yt-damsel is hiding in rock work. generally comes out when he wants food, or wants to try to move into a new territory in the tank.

pretty soon he'll be coming out though to go cycle another tank. ill continue to use the same $2 fish for cycling until he passes :) no sense in wasting good shrimp tablescraps on my fish tank heh

one of these times when he comes out he's gonna get a net wrapped around him.

about a month ago i spent 3 hours, yes 3 hours, catching two damsels. wound up having to move/remove all the rockwork to get the lil @#$@'s out.

this yellow-tail was the third fish that was to come out, but he actually hitchhiked his way back into the 75gal on a piece of LR from the staging tank that i was holding the rockwork in. oh believe me, there were words being yelled at that fish....

I have a Yellow Tail and a Velvet Damsel in my 55, along with a couple of goby's and a Clown. Part of the problem is finding a fish for my tank size. Goby's and such are fine, but what if you want a fish that will swim the water column, not have to worry about it jumping out and not nip corals? That leaves me with Damsels.

    Any other suggestions?
