For my new tank Im thinking about getting a bi color angel, I know they are prone to nipping at corals and everything but I hear worse things about coral beauty's anyone have any experiences with these pretty little fishies. Also could I keep more than one dwarf angle with one?

bicolor angels seem to have a poor survival rate. mine died after a week due to an unknown reason. i later went back to my LFS and saw the other one that i didnt buy was dead also. On another occasion, saw one that was about to croak. i spend a lot of time on message boards and have read a few other reports like mine with the bicolor angels.

they certainly are pretty fish.. i hope you have better luck with them.. i'd suggest a couple of treatments of prazipro.

you certainly can keep more than 1 dwarf angel. i'm not as familiar with dwarf angels as large angels, but some of them can be pretty aggressive too.

    what size tank?

LOL I know just how you feel, I actually JUST set up a 40 gal breeder. But I only have two mollies in it, Im not sure if it will cycle or not, so im just goin slow with it. I still have my bio cube set up, so in the new tank will be a mated pair of clowns, and a green clown goby and a bangaii cardnial. a bubble coral, torch coral, various zoas and a brain coral :) oh and mushrooms and some star polyps

if u want a small active fish, look into wrasses.. i used to have a flame angel in my 40 but got rid of it because some nip at them, mine never did, but i couldnt take the risk after i bought the rare elegance

40g breeder make great starter tanks. i have one that i use as a QT tank.

If it was up to me, I would rather use a frozen shrimp to start a cycle rather than fish. If not, use straight(10%) ammonia that can be purchased from Ace Hardware or online.

I recently cycled my 180g with straight ammonia and my cycle was complete in 14days.

You ever thought about maybe getting a trio of anthias? I have 4 carberryi anthias and they are pretty pretty...

trust me im with u on wanting one too, they are some of my favorite fish..

dwarf angels only thing is that its a 50/50 chance..i got my flame angel from ORA and they 100% guaranteed it didnt nip, but still has a chance..

    i like anthias
