After observing my tank for a little I notice my Oscellaris Clown picking on the BiColor Blenny. The one larger clown is very territorial and trys to scare the Blenny back into his hole. I am afraid he could eventually die from the clown. This clown did make after 6 months a fairy wrasse hide and eventually die. What do you guys think? Can a BiColor Blenny hold his own with a Clown more than a Fairy Wrasse

I was thinking of taking out the mean clownfish and giving him back to the store and getting a smaller clown mate. WOuld the new guy eventually also become mean and territorial. Is there a chance that a new guy will not turn female and then I would have two make clowns?

The male is about 2" and the female is about 2 1/2 - 2 3/4" I bought them at separare times and the female sometimes picks at the male but not too bad but hse used to pick at the wrasse and eventually the wrasse hid and died after dealing with it for 6 months

You think it would be difficult to get a new small clown to be friends the other little guy. How do I know that a new guy wont be mean. Maybe just the bigger clowns are mean? I really dont want to lose the blenny and would like to add another wrasse

Thats a tough one - Blennies are pretty tough fish but if introduced after the clown, he may bully it to the point of starvation/death. May be a better idea to get rid of the clown and once the blenny has acclimated properly, introduce another one that is smaller

    Blenny and Clown

That is what I was thinking of doing. My local LFS said if I take out the large female and replace her with a smaller clown eventually one will become female and one male and then the female will get bigger anyway and I will end up with the same problem I have right now. I was thinking that one would become female and one male but they could stay around the same size and then neither would pickon th blenny
