Up to a few million that should read. There have been numerous koi sold at auction above a million USD :)

I do not share their idea on the fish, but more power to them for being so devoted to a single fish to pay that much :D

I'd pay 800-1200 for a blue squamosa of the right coloration. I think Corailline can read my mind. We seem to have the same taste in livestock.

EDIT: I'm actually sitting in my 20group meeting right now drooling and dreaming over how amazing it would be if my huge squamosa was blue with the same pattern but deep blue and the lines a bright ice blue... I could dream about this all day.

Ditto :) And that's not all I'd grab in that costly arena of reefkeeping

I guess I don't get it. Do I need to see a blue squamosa in person? I don't see the appeal over a much more affordable maxima. I must be missing something here.

Think of a blue maxima but way rarer, only a few come to the US every year IIRC.

Yah, it really is something you need to see for yourself. I do say I wouldn't buy a 1.5" for that price.
