Big enough for a tang?

    Whatsup nighster. I saw you said you live in Houston. If you can't find the tang your looking for at an LFS, I have the number for a guy that lives over here in clear lake that can get whatever you want. He's avtually fixin to open up his own LFS off hwy 3. Compared to the stores around here, he's got great prices. PM me or something if your still on the lookout and I can give you his number.

    I would say no to any tangs in a 39" length; there are pleanty of alternatives for that size tank out there, don't get stuck on just one kind of fish.

    Ok then, give me some ideas please. Current list is 2 oc clowns, 6 line wrasse and a yellow watchman goby. Plus a cleaner shrimp, a pistol shrimp, and a porcelain crab.

    Just get the smallest tang you can find, and you should be ok. In a couple of years, he will give you a good excuse to upgrade.

    I'd recommend more rock for that tank before I look into tangs... sure there is lots of swimming room, but more rock will make the fish feel more comfortable.
