I got this in a load of stuff from John at reefcleaners.org this morning. He has a pretty hard time moving around but I see no way to help him. Every time the Clam tries to open up the snail moves and he closes so I can't give much of a description of him. Here are a few pic's. My last load I had a nerite with a Duster and this one is even cooler. What kind of clam is this or can you tell? I thought I might bury the snail and let the clam come out and get a picture. What would you do? I Do'nt think I should leave him like this. BUt it is cool....

Most if not all clams are filter feeders eating left over foods in your tank to phyto plankton or micro vert coral foods...
Pendin on the clam they can move my a foot on the bottom of the clam, and attach themselves to some thing at the same time.. Or like a scallop can move them selves by opening and closin real fast and propell themselves through the water...

    Good Luck...
