That sucks. I had a similar issue but my tank had no live stock in it. I had to drain it, move it and install my sump through the top. I would have bet money it was going to fit just through the opening :/ Only costed me 75 gallons of saltwater and an attitude~ With how your frame is notched I wouldnt try removing the brace. Maybe someone else has a good Idea

    Jeff,

Just use a Premade, suitalbe plastic container that will 'bend' in to place, and will probalby have more volume anyways!

That's what I did when I had a 50g Rubbermaid Roughneck that I was able to get in under my 125 stand while everything was going. Worked great.

I have since plumbed it to my basement, and this is now where it resides.

Easy, inexspensive, and you get use a container in a container for a skimmer compartment, etc.

Will that stinks, I do believe the way its notched its also secured from the top which mean I would have to remove all 3 center braces I am sure. I plastic tub would be OK, but wanted to grow my chaeto which I still have alive in a small tubaware bowl.

You should watch Todd's sump set up video. He has a good set up and I think it might work. Maybe he can post the link to it or if I find it I will post the link as well

That looked pretty complicated, hahaha! really didn't understand it much either. I am thinking since a 10g is as tall as a 20g I am thinking of taking apart the 20, cut back the glass to fit a 10 and go that route. As long as I can grow my cheato and get the skimmer out of the main tank.
