The stand looks good so far. I would put a piece of 3/4" plywood over the top to help evenly distribute the weight of your tank on the stand.

Looking good. I like the idea of having the door on the side.

Today is a big day for my project!

My rocks, sump, power head, and return pump should get here today (it’s like Christmas in February)

We finished the stand last night, now comes the fun part of sanding and picking out a stain, which is going to be a little more complicated that it should be, but as you've all seen, I have wood paneling in my office, so I need something that doesn’t match it completely, but at the same time isn’t a huge contrast to the walls either.

The sanding is going to take a while, probably all night and some of tomorrow, I am going to start with some 60, then 120 and finish it out with 150.

I spoke with the LFS yesterday and they said that my tank arrived, but it doesn’t go on sale until Thursday.

Everything is coming together, and ill be sure to get some pictures up soon, because I know that’s what yall really care about :)

They ship the sand via USPS and the live rock via FedEx. In my experience, the live rock always comes a day after the sand.

Are you using the dry or live rock? I am just curious.
