    ....is it louder in the sump or the input to the tank..hard to tell....but too bad it didn't just drop in the sump...could you eliminate the 90 temporarily and see if it goes away down there? then you could handle one issue at a time..
    So,the top part where it 90's to the dual flex for the return into the tank...loud inside the 90? ..I'm looking at mine ..it's the same...but no noise.
    is it pumping into the tank too fast?..just throwing stuff out there..

    2 45's is better, but im just trying to see how it would fit in your situation.

    Ball valves are sometimes required.:)

    I'm going to replace the 90 degree bent with the hole in it to eliminate that spraying noise. Im going to remove the clear tubing from the tank to the sump and replace it with PVC and instead of a ball valve I'm going to use a gate valve. And im in the process of makin small adjustments to the mp40. The light is down there at the end of this tunnel I'm sure of it.

    It doesn't feel like a hole. More like a crack, but I can't really see anything

    its a hole or a slit...i've seen 100+ tanks with same thing :)

    I know I couldnt....there isnt a real need for it if u have a big enough sump and ur return lines arent bent halfway down the tank..lol

    Very true...the light is near .. lol : ) ..just handle them one at a time...it did sound sort of overwhelming earlier...and brother, I've been there...but just chip away ..you got a sweet setup...the envy of many...sometimes you just have to "step awaaaay from the fish bowl" LOL...you got this dude !!;D
