    the only mecanical filtration i have is my filter sock, haha.

    i want to put my rocks in there, but wanna wait till the sand settles so i can actually see what im doing.

    once it clears, the rocks will be going in.. then what should i add to start my cycle? i do 3 damsels that are chillin in a 29 biocube, what thinkin of using them, any thoughts?

    Most people will say NO lol. There are other methods, but the damsels are hardy enough to survive a cycle IMO. You could use a raw shrimp or some kind of bacteria in a bottle like Dr. Tim's.

    make sure to dig your base rock deep into the sand bed on to the bottom of the tank glass. do not just set it up top of sand.

    Ok i will do, the sand is clearing up a lot faster than expected so thats good, might be adding the rocks tonight :)

    so i got about a third of teh rocks in tonight, before i kicked upa huge sand storm again, haha so i cant see what im doing anymore.

    I used PVC pipe to act like stilts for my LR formations. That way I get more water flow all around the rock for BB and burrowing fish don't knock it over lol. You also wont get a sandstorm when arranging it.
