Bio ball pics whats your thoughts?

    Here it is. I talked about my yellow gunk in a previous post. I am slowelly removing them and wondering what you guys have for imput on is this my nitrate issue?

    Those are the cleanest BB that I have ever seen. I dont think thats your No3 problem. Luna

    Really maybe the pics are bad because the balls are full of gunk! I wish the pics were better of the gunk and not the ball. Damn this camera haha

    I think the pics are fine, you should have seen my BB on my former W/D. You almost couldnt see blue anymore. Luna

    Luna's right they don't look bad at all. That looks to me like just normal build up but its not bad. I have seen a lot worse.

    Wow Really they have all this slime like yellow stuff on them. mad me think nitrate factory. ?Hey im glad its been wors because I thought I was doomed

    In my opinion, Bio-Balls should always be replaced with Live Rock

    I have maybe 1 lb per gallon. I am adding more slowely but dont know how to do that? and Can is be done at once or should it take time?

    I'm not commenting on the ones in question or, about your nitrate issue. I got rid of my bio-balls right off the bat. Replaced with live rock rubble.
