A BTA in a 2 month old tank....

I don't think wet/drys are appropriate for a reef tank. I think they are OK for a fish only. why do you feel you need to remove them now?

oops yea sorry, nitrites are 0 not ates, all the levels are perfect, i take it to lfs to check all the time.......

and tank is 2 months old itself, but rock is years got it from a very mature tank. and just to make the most natural reef tank possible, i have no problems or anything

    Howdy fellow Texan...

With that tank and that much LR I would remove any bio-balls. They are not necessary. No real need for a 'wet/dry' either.

Yea, you can remove the bio-balls very slowly! Don't take them all out at once! Your system will not be able to keep up with it. Oh yea, is that even live rock? It looks like i found it in my backyard. If you can, i would exchange those pieces with some more color and shape. Your LFS won't mind! I did! :) Howdy Neighbor! :)

thanks thats what i will do, how about 2 balls a day? and haha i know the one on the left are pretty ugly, the others are mor colorful in person. so my idea is remove bio balls, and when i get room put some live rock rubble, then when all balls out, leave rubble only and little algae/ hows that sound?

aquariaman would taking out to much live rock re cylcle my tank alittle, wont it get color over time?

Well, you don't need to take your whole tank down but if you can, you could always exchange a few! 2 balls a day is pretty slow. How many balls do you have? (thats what she said!) haha sorry! had to take advantage of the moment. :p Yes, the color should come back over time! Sounds like a good plan to me! :)
