Bio balls or not?

    This is a great thread. I don,t even have water in the tank so over feeding is not a problem. The issue for me was, should I incorporate a bio media or not???? Thanks everyone your opinions are taken as gospel. Up Till now it seems balls are good as long as they are prefilterd.

    IMO Pre-filtering will only help if you clean your pre-filter media often, ( before it begins to decay ) This won't be necessary at all if you ( Don't overfeed ) JMO John

    Yea someone was saying that they have towers of Bio balls in the LFS they work at, Mine has that too except they dont have it hooked up. Anyways IMO would use LRR (live rock rubble) Interesting comments.

    I have been using bio balls for several months now and it works fine.
