I am looking to take the bio balls out of the wet dry and put lr in place of it. What are the pros and cons of doing so. Am I better with bio ball or lr?

There is no question that live rock is better than bioballs in most cases. Isn't natural almost always better? Bioballs process nutrients too quickly so you can end up with excess nitrates. The only setup where I would recommend bioballs is one where the aquarist is intentionally seriously overstocking a tank.

Bio balls work fine if they are cleaned often, they do the same thing as live rock. I personnaly dont use bio balls but i use live rock. Same thing applies with LR in the bio ball area so, some times it may need to be cleaned off

Cool, thanks, then my next question is, is there enough water flow comming down from the over flow to do the job?

Exactly. Bio-balls and live rock are going to offer the same binefits and problems. They perform the same service to your tank as habitat for filtering bacteria. The only time live rock will offer a distinct advantage is when you can put a cleaning crew in there to keep it clean. My recommendation would be to modify your wet-dry to act as a fuge instead.

You won't regret it. If you need any help doing it, post some picture of your wet-dry and someone will be able to walk you through it.

I agree. I did this about 1 year ago and wont go back. Bio nitrates is what I see. I cleaned mine often and had issues with them.
