    It will dilute your ammonia and the cycle will complete. The problem is that the rocks harbor the bulk of the bio-filter, so you're not going to have much of one with only 2lbs. As long as you keep your stock at a minimum until more rocks are added, you should be fine. You'll need to stock more slowly afterward as well, unless you add pre-cured rock instead of dry.

    ok so im going to finish pluming in my 55 gal and see where it goes from there ...I will give it a few days then if I see no changes I will add bacteria in a bottle? sound good?
