    anything you use, will eventually get dirty. make sure to keep up with maintenece on canister filters.

    as far as using live rock rubble, sounds like an interesting idea. just keep in mind that the collect dertius too, and rinse them off in old tank water frequently

    im not sure how, buy you may want to make sure that live rock rubble couldnt damage the canister somehow.
