I am about ready to purchase a bio pellet reactor and need some advice on which route to take. I have a 180 gal tank but around a 350 gal total system with sump, refugium, etc.

I have found the following reactors and not sure which to go with....any help would be greatly appreciated.

    NextReef SMR1 XL $150.00
    NextReef SMR1 Solid Media Reactors

    AquaMaxx XL Reactor $120.00
    AquaMaxx BioMaxx BioPellet Reactor

    BR-140 Reef Octopus Reactor $199.00
Super Reef Octopus Biopellet Reactors - English

They all seem similar as far as dimensions, but I just not sure which is the better choice. Obviously I would rather save money if I could, however if one is better than the others I would rather pay the additional cost and get the best. I am planning on getting an eheim pump for whatever reactor I purchase.

    Which do you think???

Out of the ones listed I would choose the Octopus. It is the cadillac of BP reactors.;)

I have 3 NextReef MR1's that I was able to buy for the price of one but if I had it to do all over again for pellets I would get the Reef Octopus reactor. I just might have to try a DIY & make a cone for my MR1 :cheesy:

Great....Thanks for the input! Does anyone have a preference as to which Bio Pellets to go with. I thought about just getting the ones from BRS.
