I was able to pick up a used Reef Dynamics BP250 reactor and now have it running with 500ml of Ecobak pellets and so far so good.

1 problem I had was when I had started soaking them over night in RO/DI water I was going to get the reactor going on Friday but work issues came up so I had to wait till this morning and when I started them in the reactor they were really clumping up at the top and I had to shake the reactor to get them to sink after I would shut off the effluent. I first tried shutting off power to the pump to get the pellets off of the screen and they would fall, but once the power would go back on the same thing would happen.

The reactor is now dialed in and working like it should, I had to play with the bottom tube that goes into the reactor to get the tumbling even

The effluent is plumbed into my skimmer with a PVC T and John Guest fitting
