I just wanted to mention that I've been running my pellets finally tweaked to a good tumble and almost at 100%. Anyway, the past two days (without a water change) the clarity of my water has noticably improved. Just thought I'd share :)

It's a TLF phosban reactor a eheim compact 1000 pump. I had taken the bottom sponge out and was getting uneven tumble so I put the sponge back in and it's working great!

I never did check up on your tank leak. Is everything good on that?

I'm in a holding pattern now, the paper towels have stayed dry, so going to keep an eye on it for a bit longer and probably order a new tank in the next couple of weeks - keeping my fingers crossed - I just kind of want to enjoy it for a little bit before I have to tear it all apart to change tanks....

I was having some bad luck with fish :( had an ick outbreak and then lost anything new I added. Lost a kole tang but I don't think it was due to ick - not sure what happened.....and then my flame angel, he got covered in ick and then I couldn't knock it out with food and such......I don't think I'm going to try any more tangs....too risky. I did go ahead and get a couple of new fish today since everything seems to be doing well again, I got a very beautifully colored file fish and a cute little lyretail hawk. (so far both are eating and seem to be adjusting well) - fingers crossed. Seems I'm doing that a lot lol.....

ok, I think I must have jinxed myself......after the pellets were tumbling great, they have recently just stopped tumbling and like "sticking" together. I have tried multiple solutions...I reduced the amount thinking maybe the amount was too much and it still "sticks"......try shaking it around and I can see there is movement but sticking. Took the pump out and really cleaned it thoroughly and still having this problem...any advice? I'm using Ecobak pellets.....this is so weird!

The filter pad on the bottom may be clogged not allowing enough flow. Maybe not but worth looking into. My DIY seems to clog about once a week
