I have a quick question.I have 125 reef tank. I always keep Bio wheel in sump in case I need to set up QT. Last time I had to treat Afish with copper in my 30 gal. Hospital tank. I finish a treatment and shot down that tank. Since I used copper I can't put bio wheel in my sump again to seed bacteria, right? It will leach copper into my tank? Im pretty sure. I will need to buy new Bio wheel, right? Thanks.

I wouldn't put it back in. I think some live rock rubble would do the trick for you too_Obviously you would want to dump that afterwards too.

The dilution of copper into the tank would be miniscule. I always simply rinse mine in tank water, discard that water, then put the biowheel back in the sump. Same with anything else used for a QT, rinse and then store. If you want to be extra cautious, by all means spend the money on new equipment.

IMO biowheels aren't that expensive so I wouldn't risk it. That's just me though.
