I ran into the topic the other day, that bioball is bad? that it can be nitrate factory? I tried to find that forum again but i have failed..
So i was wondering if i can get answers here. So should I remove the bioball? My tank is around 3 weeks old, and is on brown algae process at the moment.

i wouldn't remove it unless you are planning to put something like a fuge or one of those intank filter towers in there.

They are great as long as you clean them regularly. They just can't house anerobic bacteria like Live Rock can, so LR is a much more efficient biofilter in terms of converting nitrate to nitrogen.
