its been a month of cycling and did my tests today! My amm 0 my nitrite 0 and my nitrate is 5- 10. Should i have lights on it yet or not. Looks like there is a blanket of greyish green silt on the rocks. Is this the start of a bloom? This same color of stuff is covering the sides of the tank too. Its like attached and kind moving in the current.

algae is normal for the cycle
most wait till everything 0's out but you should be ok to go
i would say your ok to stock but stock slowly, do not rush it
i wouldn't run the lights till you have something that needs it

are you using any bacteria accelerants such as reef stability ? if you see coarline starting to spread /grow your golden. And the algae stage is coming.... IT SUCKS

i am not using any bacteria accelerants. Should i blast the rocks off the stuff on the rocks looks like detritus? Should i start filtering it? So i should be good to add a clean up crew, huh! I was thinking of putting some hermits and snails in and just a bit of LR to start coraline algae. My lights are arriving soon. Will the snails and hermits be ok without lights for a week.
