This biocube has been setup for 6 months now. It has built-in refugium, which currently is culturing pods for my future addition of Mandarins. It comes with coralife 150 watts 14K DE, whichI have switched to Phoenix 150 watts 14K(this bulb is the shiznit). Well Here it goes.

    This was under coralife.

That is slightly bothersome. Both are marketed as 14,000K but clearly this isn't true, so what gives??

There must be a measurable standard to go by.

New bulb looks awesome!!! That first colony of zoas right above the clam went from night to day!!

Yes and no on the filefish, because I purchased that from liveaquaria, they were already feeding mysis and brine. So i have to target feed filefish with hakari small brine shrimp (since they are very slow swimmers and eaters) they feed exactly like seahorse, they swallow the food. Also I dont have any Acroporas because these guys would love to go for them.

Thanks. Also I think radiums (K) have the same penetration ability on PAR meter for same depth, but where it makes big difference is on the "tint" side. As you can see with coralife the blue tint is absent but in phoenix its present.
