Acquacultured Red Lord Acans. Got about 8 heads poping out now, if I move it to bottom than they will expand thus space problem so I am gonna keep them there so they stay checked in. Because I dont know how to frag.

You can frag the lords with a dremel tool..I have tons of heads on my acans, if i fragged them could prob make over $150 on the frags i could have..Then they would grow back in a month...IME with this coral, its my weed in my tank! But a pretty one indeed.

i always hate it when people get on my for keeping a yellow tang in a 40 or something, but then i find myself criticizing people for having one in theirs.... strange. but technically there is no tang that should be in anything under 75 gallons regardless of size. its not the size its the amount they swim. they are open water fish and swim a crapload in nature.

That tang is small enough to be kept in a 29 gallon tank for some time. While bvb may not like it, if the fish is healthy and not bouncing off the walls trying to swim, it's fine. It will grow to a point where the 29 will not longer suffice and it will need to be transplanted to a larger system, but until then, I say you have a nice, healthy fish there, enjoy it.

After 14 years in this hobby I've grown weary of hearing the same old lines regurgitated without taking the specific specimen into consideration.

Thanks a lot. I spend about 4-5 hrs on these different forums reading and reading, and I've been doing that for almost 8 months now, I def know when will be the time to take the tang out. Its just that I have 29g only so I just wanted to see these guys swim for only time being and able to say that yeah blue/yellow tangs are fascinating fish, I had at one time and let me tell you these fish are great community fish. That way I would be able to study their bahavior as well and definitley would have my 2 cent educated opinion for the new reefers to come. In this hobby there is no end to how much can you learn.
