    you may have to run a chiller with the metal halide on that tank depending on the room temp.... and you can easily have a piece of glass cut to fit the bio cube or cut it yourself.

    I was looking at those for my 29g biocube. You would probably have to get a chiller with that light, esp in a smaller tank. I was checking one out on a 29g biocube and I was surprised that it did not put out a lot of heat when compared to other MH. However they do put out the heat and it will boil your 8g.

    I found with mine that biocubes tend to run hot anyway.

    its only a 8 gallon. A chill would be a little bit of an over kill dont u think?

    they make nano chillers. JBJ has a 1/15hp rated for up to a 40 gallon tank... other companies make ones rated for smaller tanks but i cant reccomend them being i have no experience with those companies. Not to say they dont work well but id recommend JBJ because i have used them and can vouche for their quality.
