    Is this thing good? What exactly will it do? I heard it will make the water quality 10x better.

    It is a dry heat, yeah right !
    I have never used a UV on that size of tank. It is only going to effect things within the water column. It is not an effective treatment for most disease, but I do think they do a fairly good job of treating parasites like flukes ( something you do not see that often). They most likely play a part in diminishing some algae as well.

    For a nano I would not think the benefits would really be that significant. Large tanks with bio-loads of big fish would benefit more IMO.
