Love this new booster & 150gpd upgrade!

I was able to make 5 gallons in the time it took the lady to get her hair done.

I just started using Seachem Reef Salt and it appears to be a bad batch. I mixed, shook, rolled around on the floor for 25 min when I first got it. The calcium levels were between 525-550ppm and ALK was 6.5-7.

I called Fosters and they are replacing the salt with Instant Ocean.

Roh oh, I personally use a 5g bucket and pour the salt back and forth a few times to mix it up.

Doesn't seem to matter the salt mix brand, I have issues with Alk from batch (box/bucket) to batch. Had problems with Red Sea, I/O Reef Crystals, and Seachem Salinity. I currently stick with plain ol' I/O, and dose up to my levels before change.

I find I/O to be pretty darn stable and consistent if you boost up the Mg before you mix in enough salt to get to 1.026
