    Update!

So more polyps are reseeding and it looks like my carpet Nem is pretty upset. It's mouth is still closed and color looks normal but it's shriveled up pretty good. And my Kenya trees are looking awful! All my SPS and other coral look fine.

Should I be worried at this point?

Have you started the GFO? You may have started with too much. If you followed BRS's instructions, you surely did.

AZDesertRat has posted about it many times, but what BRS recommends is much more than anyone else comparable. He's given much better guidelines, and iirc it's starting with 1/2 tablespoon per gallon, working up to 1 tablespoon per gallon eventually.

I have not started GFO, I was going to start next week. But that will be put on hold until everything is fixed.

    Currently I have:
    Skimmer
    Small amount of carbon
    BRS Ca, Mag and Alk

In that case, there's nothing that jumps out at me. Maybe run some fresh carbon?

Maybe that's the issue then. Carbon is very good at removing organics; it might just be a bit of shock you're seeing. That'd also better explain why the "dirtier" corals/nem are more affected while SPS is fine.

True, but I haven't been running carbon for a few days. This started Thursday and I added carbon on Friday after the coral was dying.

Thanks for helping btw, I appreciate it.

Sounds to me like you've stripped organics. I'd give it a few days and let everything recoup.

So do I take the carbon out? How could I have stripped the organics out of the tank if I put in carbon after the coral was reseeding?
