Sounds like a good plan. Let your corals be your guide.

    Thanks!

So I should be aiming for .03ppm Phosphate, right?

    0.03 or less, yes. :)

Really!? Should I aim for 0.01ppm or 0.00ppm? I read somewhere SPS need some phosphates to have tissue regeneration.

Your LPS might get angry if you get near zero. But realize it's pretty impossible to actually achieve zero in a closed system, unless you stopped feeding entirely. Even if the checker says zero, it doesn't necessarily mean true zero. :)

And yes, a trace of phosphate is needed for all corals to grow.

0.01-0.03 is a perfect range, if you can balance it there.

I lowered my overflow by .25 inches to increase my skimmer performance. My skimmate is a lot darker! Before it was like tea.

Last night I was bored so I went into my box of old unused fish stuff and I found a small 425gph power head. I decided to install it in my tank. Later on last night I messed with my water return line and mp10 to increase flow patters. Now the surface of my water is moving around a lot and all my SPS love the new flow pattern.
